FLAT ROOFS

Flat Roofs

A flat roof is almost level in contrast to the many types of sloped roofs. The slope of a roof is properly known as its pitch, and flat roofs have up to approximately 10° of incline. Flat roofs are an ancient form mostly used in arid climates and allow the roof space to be used as a living space or a living roof.

The most common material for flat roofs is timber and felt, but the best new material is a rubber EPDM membrane. This is commonly used in today's construction and can be fitted by Island Windows. Please see below for information on the rubber membrane we can supply and install on your existing or new flat roof.
